Graduation photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed—they should capture your personality and the excitement of everything you’ve accomplished as a Knight. One of the easiest ways to make your UCF grad photos fun is to incorporate movement and meaningful details. Toss your cap in front of the Reflection Pond, pop confetti in black and gold, walk hand-in-hand with your best friends across Memory Mall, or spin in your dress so it catches that golden Florida light. Bring props that reflect your journey—your decorated cap, cords and stoles you worked so hard for, champagne to spray, or something that represents your major. Choose campus spots that hold memories for you, whether it’s your favorite study corner or the arena where you cheered the loudest. Most importantly, relax and let yourself laugh. The best photos happen in between poses—when you’re genuinely smiling, celebrating, and soaking in the moment. As a fellow UCF Alumni, charge on!

Pick your favorite locations

Choosing locations that mean something to you instantly makes your session more special. A cap toss at Reflection Pond is a classic, but think beyond the “must-have” spots. Did you spend late nights studying in a specific building? Did you meet your best friends on Memory Mall? Were football games your favorite tradition?  The places that shaped your college experience will naturally bring out authentic emotion—and that’s what makes photos feel alive.

Bring props & outfit changes

Your grad session is about your journey. Bring the cords you worked so hard for, your decorated cap, champagne to spray, confetti in black and gold, or even something that represents your major or sport you played. Nursing students can bring their stethoscope. Education majors can bring a stack of children’s books. Athletes can bring their jersey. Business grads might pop champagne in a sleek outfit. These little details add depth and personality to your photos.

If you want to elevate your session, consider bringing two outfits—one classic and one that feels more “you.” Start with your cap and gown for timeless shots, then change into a dress, suit, or outfit that makes you feel confident and celebratory. Nursing/health science students, this is your time to show off your scrubs! This gives your gallery variety and allows your personality to shine beyond the graduation attire.

Here are some photos with fun props/outfit changes:

Bring your people (or furry friends)

Some of the most fun grad sessions include roommates, best friends, significant others — and yes, even your furry friends. You don’t have to do the entire session together, but adding a few group shots makes it even more meaningful. Your college journey wasn’t just late-night study sessions and game days; it was the people (and pets) who supported you through it all.

If you have a dog, consider bringing them for a few photos in a cute bandana or bow in black and gold. Not only does it make your gallery more personal, but it also brings out the sweetest, most natural smiles. After all, they’ve been there for the study breaks, the stress, and the celebrations too. Including the ones who mean the most to you makes your grad photos feel less like a photoshoot and more like a memory.

Below are some photos with friends, family, and pets!

Graduation is more than a milestone — it’s the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. Your grad photos should feel joyful, personal, and completely reflective of who you are in this season of life. Whether you’re celebrating at the University of Central Florida with your best friends, your family, or your furry sidekick, this is your moment to pause and soak it all in. Years from now, you won’t just look back at these images to remember what you wore — you’ll remember how you felt. So have fun, be present, and truly celebrate everything you’ve accomplished.
